On a very quiet Saturday morning (it was 4th of July weekend, and everyone was out of town), my husband and I stopped by the Park Slope location. Besides my hot chocolate with whipped cream and his coffee being absolutely delicious, the gentleman behind the counter was super, super nice, in a ‘genuine’, not ‘learned’, manner. AND he seemed to know everyone who came in, many by name! We are not from the neighborhood (but are from Brooklyn, as well). I feel like getting off the train on my way to work, and getting my coffee at CM Park Slope, where the people working there not only seem to have fun working with each other, but also treat every customer like family! Thank you for a relaxed, rainy morning…

Connecticut Muffin is Brooklyn’s own Central Perk.  With 6 locations all over Brooklyn (and none in Connecticut), Connecticut Muffin proudly bakes it’s own goods and serves up great tasting drinks.  My favorite sweets include the Chocolate Cigar and the Red Velvet Cupcake, both are always so moist and addictive.  […]

By far the best coffee, best food, and best family atmosphere I’ve ever enjoyed outside of my home. The staff is great at every location and the owners treat everyone like family. I wish I can find them outside of NY.

i was mostly compelled to try this place because i’m from connecticut. (what can i say, it’s who i am!) upon entering the cozy little shop i found myself very pleased, though not necessarily all that reminded of my home state. i tried the pumpkin spice loaf and it was pretty damn delicious. melty cream cheese frosting, moist, sweet, cake, it was heaven. pair this with a lovely wooden bench out front, the sun shining down, and the wind blowing through the trees in the greenspace across the street it was quite a nice experience.

Have you seen the Muffin Man?

I have… more times than a girl ought to see a Muffin Man…if ya know what I mean.

Our latest rendevous, the M-Man and I, was at the latest, and dare I say, greatest— location of Connecticut Muffin. Cozy and quiet, this spot can actually accommodate all of the business that it will soon be rolling in.

There is plenty of comfy seating, free wi-fi, non-pretentious baristas, and as always— muffins that make your mouth water in anticipation of each scrumptious bite. The chai is always perfect, the coffee is above average, and I recently tried a slice of their banana bread with maple icing and nearly had the urge to run across town naked telling the world how fabulous it was. Praise baby Jesus, I did not follow through with this impulse…

I’m from CT and never heard of CT Muffin until I visited Brooklyn, NY. So of course I just had to stop in and I’m hooked. I had the blueberry cream cheese muffin and breakfast blend coffee…phenomenal! I will be returning. My honey purchased a CT Muffin mug for me too 🙂
